Abstract
:
The latest medicine prescribed to those who are insulted with psoriasis is Acitretin drug but this drug has several side effects that restrict its use. We used ginger plant and camel’s milk to reduce the acuteness ofthese effects. The research was performed on 40 males albino rats, their its ages range from 6-7 weeks and each weighed from 1 50- 1 80 g. Animals had been divided into: The first group: Included the control animals. Distilled water had been given to them during the period of the experiment. The second group: Included the animals treated with Acitrelin drug with a dose of (0.2 mi/kg daily) by using a stomach tube during the period of the experiments. The third group: Included the animals treated with the drug and ginger together with a dose of (0.2 mi/kg daily) of each chemical by using a stomach tube during the period of the experiment. The fourth group: Included the animals treated with the drug and camel’s milk together with a dose of (0.2 mi/kg daily) of each chemical by using stomach tube during the period of the experiment. The animal groups had been dissected after one month, two months and three months and the spleen was excised to be fixed, embedded and sectioned. Microscopical examination of spleen sections of animals treated by Acitretin drug had shown histopathological changes as lossted and distroieded among parts of tissue, atrophy some of germinal centres and lymphatic nodules. Also necrosis has been noticed in some lymphocytes and macrophaes. This might be due to failure of spleen filtration function. While, the examination of the spleen of animals treated with drug and ginger or with drug and camel’s milk revealed that the spleen tissue had approximately recovered its normal structure.
